We've had some wonderful weather over the last couple of months. The kind of weather that makes you venture outside again to ponder that big bright orb (aka "the sun") in the sky. That makes you want to dig in the earth and get dirt under your nails. And that makes you want to stash away the wool sweaters and socks and pull out those skimpy tank tops and sandals.
Not that we aren't getting precipitation on a regular basis - we do. Just not as much at a time, nor everyday. This is coastal Oregon and it do like to rain here - that's why it is typically a very green place.
The trees have gone from buds to flowers to leaves . . .
while daffodils were some of the first bulbs to display their beauty . . .
. . . and tulips fast on their heels.
I also started to see some of my favorite garden helpers . . .
For kicks I made some naturally dyed Easter eggs using dried yellow onion skins, turmeric and beets. It had been probably 30+ years since I had made any and it was fun to try my hand at it once again.
